AAKG overview

AAKG's full name is arginine alpha-ketoglutarate and it is often used by bodybuilders and anyone who trains hard in the gym as a powerful nutritional supplement which boosts energy and power. Our AAKG is a 2:1 ratio, currently thought to be the best ratio for AAKG supplements. 2 parts arginine to 1 part alpha-ketoglutarate.

The body uses AAKG to release and mobilise usable energy from stored calories. This energy combines within the body with natural stores of ammonia to create glutamic acid. Glutamic acid is a natural precursor of glutamine, an important amino acid which is crucial to muscle gain and muscle retention.

AAKG is often found in pre-workout supplements, and for good reason. It acts as a cell volumiser and most people can physically feel and visibly see this effect when they take an AAKG supplement before training. AAKG is also a powerful NO2 transporter and helps improve the delivery of l-arginine within the body.

Arginine is one of the essential amino acids and has a massive number of vital roles in the body. One of them is protein synthesis, making arginine supplementation critically important for bodybuilders, athletes and anyone looking to build muscle and lose body fat without sacrificing lean tissue.

Nitric oxide (NO2) is a powerful vasodilator, highly valued by bodybuilders for creating an intense pump that helps to swell muscles and exaggerate vascularity. AAKG supplements give most people a visibly increased muscular pump and a pumped-up feeling during training.

If you have tried a pre-workout which has AAKG as an ingredient, why not purchase AAKG separately by choosing this product, and create your own bespoke pre-workout supplement stack?

By choosing our 2:1 ratio AAKG formula, you will get a superior blend of AAKG which will give noticeable effects from the first time you use it. It also means you will only need a small dose to feel the effects, saving you cash in the long-term.

We also offer a full range of Nitric Oxide (NOX) supplements. To find out more about our Nitric Oxide formulas, check out our Pre Workout Energy range or use the search function for Extreme NOX.

Amazing pump - good addition to any shake. Review by Mitch
Mixability

Effectiveness
I stack this with: Glutamine, BCAA Plus
Comments: Love this stuff, given the benefits of having your body in a Nitrogen positive/rich state is well-documented. This supplement is a great addition; mixes fantastically, little to no taste (i honestly couldn't tell you what it would taste like only i get a hint of "carbonated" to some of my shakes, truly a minor thing), but most importantly it's neutral flavour and no caffeine means i can have it day or night without having to worry about getting jitters or all pumped before i go to bed. Serious pump action as well, like arms so swollen i can't move them after a few reps (addictive).

Just do yourself a favour and get 1kg, 100g will vanish in a heartbeat.

I stack this with: Citrulline Malate, Arginine, Aspartic acid
Comments: Tried this form as it supposedly better absorbed leading to higher blood levels with much smaller doses..... hard to know the extent that this is the case from a user point of view but certainly is a clean product which is reasonably priced.
