BCAA Overview

Branched chain amino acids - usually referred to as BCAA - are a combination of amino acids which work together to protect muscle tissue, particularly when you're training hard, dieting, or between meals. They ensure you remain in a positive anabolic state to prevent the loss of muscle tissue. BCAA also keep your muscles' glycogen stores fuller for longer.

BCAA combine valine, leucine and isoleucine, three of the most critical and essential amino acids for bodybuilders, athletes, strength and power athletes and anyone wanting to build and preserve muscle. BCAA are metabolised rapidly by the body, passing directly to muscle tissue where they are put to work preserving lean mass.

It is possible to get the three amino acids in BCAA from the food we eat, but extremely difficult to take in the optimum amounts. And of course the corresponding calorie count would have a huge impact on your macros and daily diet.

Mixing BCAA powder with water creates an ideal amino acid drink to have between meals, before fasted cardio, or during (intra) training to protect muscle mass.

BCAA powder comes in a 2:1:1, 4:1:1 or 8:1:1 ratio of leucine : isoleucine : valine. All three ingredients are pharmaceutical grade so you can be confident of giving your body the very best BCAA supplements.

Also available is our Instantised BCAA in a 2:1:1 ratio and our Instantised Vegan BCAA in a 4:1:1 ratio. Our Instantised BCAAs are combined with 1% sunflower lecithin to aid in quicker mixability than standard BCAAs.

Our powdered BCAAs are available unflavoured (ideal for flavouring with our natural sweetener drops) or a variety of incredible flavours: green apple, lemon lime, orange pine or wild berry.

If you want more than just BCAA powder, check out our range of specially formulated intra workout supplements which combine BCAA with powerful anabolic extras including creatine, l-glutamine, citruline malate, electrolytes and vitamins.

BCAA Benefits

Muscle sparing, muscle protection, essential amino acids, anabolic.

BCAA are an important amino acid supplement for protecting lean tissue and sparing muscle even when dieting, performing cardio, fasting or training intensely. Our BCAA are available in a 2:1:1, 4:1:1 or 8:1:1 ratio of leucine : isoleucine : valine, the most important essential amino acids for muscle tissue protection. Of great benefit to bodybuilders, anyone dieting for better body composition, or anyone going for long periods of time without a protein meal.

BCAA Dosage and Suggested Use

As a dietary supplement, consume 5g-10g with 250-500ml of water 2 to 4 times daily or as required. BCAA will mix best when mixed in a shaker bottle. Best used before or during intense training, before fasted cardio, or during the day between meals. A slight frothiness is quite normal and to be expected (this is due to the leucine powder which is very fine). 1 flat 10ml scoop of BCAA provides an estimated 5g serving. Scoop included in package.

Summary:Best bang for your buck
Stack well with:Creatine
My buddy showed me this product, typically have never purchased BCAA's as they're so expensive. I tried some of his, super basic, raw ingredients, for very cheap. Great for those who are balling on a budget!

Summary:Raw BCAAs that stack well with anything
Stack well with:WPI, Casein, Pre-workout, inter-workout water
The raw flavoured BCAAs are very reasonably priced ( I got the 2:1:1 ratio because it is the traditional and most scientifically studied ratio). I mix this with lemon/lime Gatorade powder in my inter-workout water. Because it has no added flavour it can be stacked with flavoured (and often very sweet) pre-workout powder without making the solution overly sweet.

Summary:good product
Stack well with:WPI
Good product that you can mix in your water bottle and take it with you in the gym or running around the park or even while working.

Stack well with:Satan himself
Even in shakes it tastes brutal. Even if putting in just before you drink a shake, the taste is strong and very tart, but hey, that's not why we drink it. Still good stuff. (Best to use the flavoured bcaa's)

Summary:Great Recovery - Low Price
Stack well with:I take this by itself between regular meals or protein shakes
I've noticed a definite reduction in soreness through the week since I've been taking these. There is a bitter taste so I mix it in with something to get it down. This is the best price for BCAA's on the market.

Summary:Excellent and convenient
Stack well with:Carnitine - Creatine
The biggest advantage of these BCAAs is that they mix extremely well but don't have such an awful flavour like other brands do. It's also quite convenient to have the unflavoured version because I can mix it with any flavouring I want or mix it into my protein shake without it having an adverse affect on flavour. Its perfect for mixing with Creatine and Carnitine before and after a work out. Definitely worth the purchase.

Summary:Love it
Stack well with:ALCAR
Mixes better than some other BCAA's I've tried in the past from other companies. The new packaging is a lot better. RAW isn't always the best tasting version of BCAA, but I like to mix it with other things and it's cheaper getting the RAW version. So that's what I went with.
